In 2010, a new hacking device called BadUSB came out presenting a new attack vector which is keystrokes injection.

What is a BadUSB?

BadUSB is a programmableUSB device that acts as a human interface device like a keyboard or a mouse.

It is used to inject keystrokes and manipulate the target computer. Some BadUSBs look identical to a normal USB thumb drive. This makes it very hard to distinguish between a normal USB and a BadUSB.

What is USB Rubber Ducky?

USB Rubber Ducky is one of the most popular BadUSBs which allows keystrokes injection, once it’s plugged into a PC/Laptop.

The USB Rubber Ducky also got featured in the very famous hacking TV series Mr. Robot (If you didn’t watch it yet, you missed a lot)

Programming a USB Rubber Ducky to perform a certain action is very easy since it uses a very easy language called Ducky Script.

You can program the Rubber Ducky using a standard text editor.

Example

You can program a BadUSB to download malicious files, steal login credentials, change the user password. You can literally program it to do anything you want.

What we are going to do in this video is, program the BadUSB to automatically disable Windows Defender and then Download and execute backdoor/virus/payload whatever

Even if the payload isn’t encrypted, we will still be able to gain access to Windows because we disabled Windows Defender.
